We get asked all the time whether our pictures have been 'computer generated'.
Now there are some motor cartoons that have been produced using Photoshop, or similar drawing packages, but not ours.
We may a little old fashioned, but when was the last great masterpiece produced on a computer, somehow even Monet may have baulked at using one. Now we are not saying we are quite in his league, but all our original drawings are sketched and coloured by hand, by our artist Carl Greatrix.
This takes years of practice and he told us the other day how years ago, he spent a whole week being taught how to draw two straight lines, exactly 2mm apart the length of a piece of A3 paper - try it without a ruler, it's very difficult.
Anyway enough from us, below are the six stages in drawing a Vauxhall VX220 from a photo supplied by a customer. We start with a rough sketch, then a definite outline is drawn and then the 4 stages of colour to create the final completed original after about 4/5 hours.
Now there's one clever guy!
